WHY: My friends wanted to meet up for dinner

SPEAK

“Last night, my friends hit me up because they wanted to meet up for dinner. It was around 6 pm, so I was actually starving. We decided to meet at Red Robin and I had a burger and fries.”

Hit someone up: (Slang) To contact someone

Starving: to be extremely hungry

Tell me about your best friend

THINK

WHO: My best friend, Michelle

WHAT: Tells amazing stories

WHEN: Whenever we hang out

WHERE: In my backyard

WHY: She has the best memory and she knows how to make people laugh

SPEAK

“My best friend’s name is Michelle. One of her best qualities is her ability to tell amazing stories. She has the best memory and she knows how to make people laugh. Whenever we hang out in my backyard, Michelle will start reminiscing about our younger days and go right into a story.”

Hang out: To spend time relaxing or socializing informally

Backyard: a yard, or area of land, behind a house or other building, typically surrounded by a fence

Reminisce: To indulge in enjoyable recollection of past events

How often do you exercise?

THINK

WHO: Me

WHAT: Run

WHEN: At the crack of dawn Monday – Friday

WHERE: On the treadmill at the gym

WHY: I can clear my mind.

SPEAK

“I normally exercise Monday through Friday. In order to get it in before work, I wake up at the crack of dawn and head to the gym. While I’m running on the treadmill, I am able to clear my mind.”

Get it in: (Phrasal Verb) ****If you get something in, you manage to do it at a time when you are very busy doing other things

The crack of dawn: a time very early in the morning; daybreak

Clear my mind: to stop worrying or thinking about something
