Coerce // Dispute // Dissect

Today we will review three new vocabulary words. Coerce, Dispute, and Dissect. Review the definitions below and then look at the 3 example sentences for each vocabulary word. After reviewing the information, try to make your own sentences.

COERCE

1He tried to coerce him into opposing the decision, but his efforts failed.

DISPUTE

1Children normally get into small disputes with each other at school.

3The dispute over federal taxes was not resolved.

DISSECT

1We had to dissect the frog in science class.
2The man tried to dissect her answer, but he couldn't figure it out.
3The doctor had to dissect the woman's body in order to see what caused her death.
