THE 5Ws : Turning Short Sentences into Long Ones + Describing Images
Example Sentences from Days 7-12
Day 7: Building a sentence using the 5Ws
- “This is Amber.”
- “Amber is eating lunch.”
- “Amber is eating lunch now.”
- “Amber is eating lunch at home now.”
- “Amber is eating lunch at home now because it is Sunday.”
Day 8: Images 1-3
- “The student was walking yesterday at a park near his university because he had a lot on his mind.”
- “The woman is talking on the phone now in front of the supermarket because the music inside was too loud.”
- “The boy was screaming into the mic last week at his dad’s music studio because he wanted to sing like his dad.”
Day 9: Images 4-6
- “The dog was wrapped in a blanket two days ago in the forest because his owners thought he was cold.”
- “The elephant will drink water tomorrow at the zoo because the weather will be very hot.”
- “The bear is looking at the camera right now in front of the window because he is curious about the photographer.”
Day 10: Images 7-9
- “The plane was going fast during its last flight from Japan to India because the pilot was on a deadline.”
- “The athlete is relaxing at this moment on the lake because she wants to enjoy the scenery.”
- “The woman will drive for 12 hours next week to go to Dallas, Texas, because her company is holding a big conference there.”
Day 11: Images 10-12
- “The artist was painting after he finished teaching his students in his outdoor studio because he enjoyed it so much.”
- “The musician is playing his guitar right now on the stage because he has to get ready for his performance.”

Short Sentence to Long Sentence Breakdown:

- Transformation (Day 7)

- Examples:

- Performance (Day 11)
- Definition: An act of presenting a play, concert, or other form of entertainment
- Examples:
