Example Sentences from Days 7-12

Day 7: Building a sentence using the 5Ws

“This is Amber.”
“Amber is eating lunch.”
“Amber is eating lunch now.”
“Amber is eating lunch at home now.”
“Amber is eating lunch at home now because it is Sunday.”

Day 8: Images 1-3

“The student was walking yesterday at a park near his university because he had a lot on his mind.”
“The woman is talking on the phone now in front of the supermarket because the music inside was too loud.”
“The boy was screaming into the mic last week at his dad’s music studio because he wanted to sing like his dad.”

Day 9: Images 4-6

“The dog was wrapped in a blanket two days ago in the forest because his owners thought he was cold.”
“The elephant will drink water tomorrow at the zoo because the weather will be very hot.”
“The bear is looking at the camera right now in front of the window because he is curious about the photographer.”

Day 10: Images 7-9

“The plane was going fast during its last flight from Japan to India because the pilot was on a deadline.”
“The athlete is relaxing at this moment on the lake because she wants to enjoy the scenery.”
“The woman will drive for 12 hours next week to go to Dallas, Texas, because her company is holding a big conference there.”

Day 11: Images 10-12

“The artist was painting after he finished teaching his students in his outdoor studio because he enjoyed it so much.”
“The musician is playing his guitar right now on the stage because he has to get ready for his performance.”
“The man was holding his saxophone when I walked by him in front of the store because he was waiting for the bus to arrive.”

Sentence Transformation (Day 7)

Short Sentence to Long Sentence Breakdown:

“This is Amber.” (WHO)
“Amber is eating lunch.” (WHO + WHAT)
“Amber is eating lunch now.” (WHO + WHAT + WHEN)
“Amber is eating lunch at home now.” (WHO + WHAT + WHEN + WHERE)
“Amber is eating lunch at home now because it is Sunday.” (WHO + WHAT + WHEN + WHERE + WHY)

Intermediate English Vocabulary Words from Days 7-12

Transformation (Day 7)
- Definition: The process of changing from one form to another
- Examples:
  - The transformation of the caterpillar into a butterfly took about two weeks.
  - The city underwent a massive transformation after the new development project.
  - Digital transformation has changed how many businesses operate today.
Rapidly (Day 8)
- Definition: Very quickly or at a fast pace
- Examples:
  - Technology is advancing rapidly in our modern world.
  - The company grew rapidly after securing their new investment.
  - Her health improved rapidly once she started the new treatment.
Practice (Day 8-12)
- Definition: Regular exercise or training of an activity or skill to improve proficiency
- Examples:

Scenery (Day 10)
- Definition: The natural features of a landscape considered in terms of their appearance
- Examples:

  - The hotel room offered amazing scenery of the ocean.
Deadline (Day 10)
- Definition: A date or time by which something must be completed
- Examples:
  - I need to submit my report before the deadline tomorrow.
  - The editor extended the deadline by two more days.
  - She works best under the pressure of a tight deadline.
Performance (Day 11)
- Definition: An act of presenting a play, concert, or other form of entertainment
- Examples:
  - His performance in the play received excellent reviews.
  - The band’s live performance was much better than their recorded music.
  - She was nervous before her performance but did extremely well.

Advanced English Vocabulary Words from Days 7-12

Fluency (Day 7)
- Definition: The ability to speak or write a language easily, smoothly, and expressively
- Examples:
  - Her fluency in Japanese impressed everyone at the international meeting.

Recognize (Days 8-12)

- Examples:

Improve (Day 7-12)
- Definition: To make or become better
- Examples:

Continue (Day 7-12)
- Definition: To maintain a specified state, condition, or activity without interruption
- Examples:
  - We will continue our discussion tomorrow.
  - Despite the rain, they decided to continue with their outdoor plans.
  - The company continues to grow despite the economic challenges.
