Today we will review three new Expressions. During the day, In the meantime, and For the time being. Review the definitions below and then look at the 3 example sentences for each expression. After reviewing the information, try to make your own examples for each expression.

EXPRESSIONMEANING
During the day(Means throughout the day or during the daylight hours)
In the meantime(Until something expected happens, or while something else is happening)
For the time being(Until some other arrangement is made)

DURING THE DAY

#EXAMPLES

2Do you feel exhausted during the day?

IN THE MEANTIME

#EXAMPLES
1Your computer won’t arrive until next week. In the meantime, you can use mine.

FOR THE TIME BEING
