  • Examples
    • Ending a business conversation meeting
      • State 3 main points, decisions, or takeaways
    • Ending a conversation with a friend
      • State 1 thing from the conversation that was good, funny, or important
    • Ending a conversation with a teacher
      • State the main lesson you learned and how you apply it

STEP 2 | QUESTION

  • Description
    • The second step is to ask the individual if they have any final thoughts related to what you spoke about. This shows that you care about their opinion.
  • Examples
    • Ending a business conversation meeting
      • Ask for any final points, thoughts, or thing you need to work on moving forward
    • Ending a conversation with a friend
      • Ask them what’s their plan for the rest of the day or for the week (Future plans)
    • Ending a conversation with a teacher
      • Ask if there are any other tips he/she would like to give you

STEP 3 | THANKS & BYE

  • Description
    • The third step is to thank the individual for taking the time to speak with you and then you can say “Goodbye”. This shows that you enjoyed the conversation.
  • Examples
    • Ending a business conversation meeting
      • Thanks & talk to you next time (Referring to the follow-up meeting)
    • Ending a conversation with a friend
      • Good talking to you & a casual goodbye
    • Ending a conversation with a teacher
      • Thanks & Goodbye
