5 METHODS

1. Topical Discussion method
   • Explanation: Use topics to practice giving your ideas and opinions. This method will help you organize your thoughts about various topics.
   • How To
     • First, pick a topic that you both would like to discuss and search for questions about that topic in English (“English Discussion Questions about _________” → Google)
     • Second, write the questions down and spend some time (hours or days) organizing your answers for each question based on the ‘3 reasons, details, or examples’ breakdown
     • Finally, meet via video or audio call and ask each other the questions. The goal is for each of you to make sure the other gives 3 reasons, details, or examples for their answer
2. Question & Answer method
   • Explanation: Use questions to practice English conversation skills. This method will help you learn how to carry on a conversation naturally in English.
   • How To
     • First, pick something that you are both interested in (It can be a movie, an activity, a book, a show, a topic, etc)
     • Second, individually create 5 – 10 questions
     • Finally, meet via video or audio call and ask each other the questions you created
3. Visual sentence method
   • Explanation: Use images to practice describing things in English. This method will help you think faster and more creatively in English.
   • How To
     • First, select one picture
     • Second, set a 3-minute timer
     • Finally, Look at the same picture and go back and forth describing it for “3” minutes
4. Alphabet vocabulary method
   • Explanation: Use the English alphabet to practice using the English vocabulary you learned. This method will help you remember and use English vocabulary faster.
   • How To
     • First, decide who will go first
     • Second, set a 3-minute timer
     • Finally, starting with the letter A, go back and forth saying an English vocabulary word that matches the letter of the alphabet [TIP: Decide the minimum number of letters the words must have]
5. 5Ws method
   • Explanation: Use the 5Ws to practice basic English conversation skills. This method will help you learn how to carry on a conversation naturally in English about daily life.
   • How To
     • First, choose one of the 5Ws (Who, what, when, where, or why)
     • Second, ask each other a question based on that “W”
